West Country Books

Westcountry Books is an independent bookshop in Queen Street, Newton Abbot, close to the town centre, and five minutes away from the railway station. On-street, metered, car parking and car parks also nearby.

Our prime focus is on books about the West Country, both new and second-hand. This means we have books published roughly during the last 100 years ago on Devon and Cornwall - all in one place. We source much of this stock from auctions but are always pleased to buy West Country titles privately.

We also stock new children's reading and activity books; new fiction paperbacks for grown-ups; Railway; Military; Craft and History titles.

Westcountry Books likes to support local writers/groups by stocking their published work. Looking for a particular book? Being based in Devon enables us to buy at local auctions and from the public, so we are always pleased to look out for books by request. No charge for this, if we find what you want we'll tell you and if you think the price is right then it's yours.
